Intel Mask/OPC Software Development Engineer in Santa Clara, California
The Intel NVM (Non Volatile Memory) Process Technology Development group is responsible for developing state of the art NVM technologies like 3D-NAND & 3D-Xpoint. As a Mask/OPC development engineer within this organization you will be chartered with coding and maintaining software programs and tools supporting mask tapeout automation, OPC and RET algorithms, and mask data prep procedures for current and future NVM technologies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with tapeout engineers to develop, optimize, and maintain software and tools to support production tapeout generation and mask ordering along with documentation and logging of all operations
Work with OPC engineers to develop and maintain automation software supporting OPC development and optimization.
Develop and maintain scripts for model or rules-based OPC functions and verification to optimize masks for 3D-Nand and 3D-Xpoitn products
Interface with multiple other groups like Process Integration, Design Rules, CAD, Layout, Scribe and Mask shops with patience and thoroughness.
Drive projects across multi-disciplinary teams focusing on layout and mask generation, litho or code issues.
Drive diagnostic projects across multi-disciplinary teams to understand product and test structure failures and their interaction with layout and mask synthesized data.
Experience and expertise in standard programming languages such as Perl, Python, MySQL or any other languages like C, C++ in Linux.
Experience in Linux operating systems and batch job controls and monitoring.
Demonstrated ability to produce effective, efficient and flexible code to spec along with user interfaces and documentation.
Familiarity with Tape-out, OPC and Mask Generation Flows for High volume manufacturing.
Exposure to and understanding of commercial OPC program languages helpful, Mentor Calibre, Synopsys Proteus, Brion Lua of similar.
Good verbal & written communication skills with Excel, Visio & Power Point proficiency.
BS/MS in EE, Physics, Computer Science, Material Science or Chemistry.
At least 5 years relevant industry experience in OPC/Mask/CAD.
