Intel Mixed Signal Research Scientist in Santa Clara, California
The researcher will:
Initiate the design, development, execution and implementation of scientific research projects to fuel Intel's growth in the areas of computing, communication, technology and manufacturing and new business opportunity.
Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products typically 7+ years prior to landing on a product road map.
Plans and executes laboratory research.
Maintains substantial knowledge of state of the art principles and theories, and contributes to scientific literature and conferences.
May participate in development of intellectual property.
May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.Typically holds a PhD.

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience.
The candidate must be pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or any related field with a focus of at least one wireless standard and thesis in low-power wireless circuits with focus on digital friendly architectures for highly scaled CMOS.
Minimum 6+ months of experience in the following:
IC development tools for schematic capture and layout.
Advanced circuit simulation tools.
Mixed signal simulation tools and environments.
Lab test equipment and methods spectrum analyzer, o-scope, logic analyzer, etc.
System simulations using industry standard tools.
Layout verification and parasitic extraction tools.
Additionally digital design with System Verilog or Verilog including VerilogAMS.
A modeling and development is desired but not required.
