As an Optical Transceiver Firmware Design Engineer in SPPD Group you will be responsible for developing the module firmware. This will be very hands-on position. You will collaborate with multiple teams within the division that includes IC team, hardware engineers, validation team and manufacturing team to develop the product feature sets and to deliver firmware that meets or exceeds product requirements.
MS with 2+ years of experience of BS with + 4 years of experience
Experience in embedded architecture, external interfaces, product constraints, along with ability to develop architectures/features that meet these constraints while providing new value for the platform.
Source code development, review and maintenance C/C++.
Possess strong firmware architectural skills in designing, developing and debugging embedded firmware C programming language for optical fiber transceivers
Familiar with use of i2c host adaptors and i2c protocol analyzers.
Familiar with optical fiber transceivers and the goverining multi-source agreement such as QSFP, DD-QSFP, SFP etc.
Ability to read schematics, specify IC requirements and features and influence hardware design
Familiar with GIT/Gerrit depositary system
Algorithm modeling, benchmarking, implementation, and digital signal processing.Good scripting skills such as Python
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the specific ability to speak to various technical and management levels.
Proactive, collaborative and creative approach to innovation, technical development and consensus facilitation to produce optimal project results
Excellent time and task management, and inter-personal skills.
Willingness to travel when required
