Intel Parts Qualification Lead Engineer in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

The Parts qualification engineer with report into the Intel Global Supply Chain organization. They will primarily interact with the commodity managers, equipment development engineers, intel worldwide factories and intel technology development teams to qualify parts for use in intel's factories for production. The candidate will have a strong background in engineering with experience working on process technologies across multiple platforms and with complex semiconductor equipment. The candidate will need to travel up-to 30% of the time to intel's factory locations and technology development locations across the world. The candidate will need to build strong relationships with the factory teams, technical experts, supply chain teams and components research and will also need to be proficient with calculations of cost of ownership so they can make recommendations on the ideals parts to use. Some knowledge of supply chain will be beneficial.

Qualifications

The Parts qualification engineer with report into the Intel Global Supply Chain organization. They will primarily interact with the commodity managers, equipment development engineers, intel worldwide factories and intel technology development teams to qualify parts for use in intel’s factories for production.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

10+ years of engineering experience working on process technologies across multiple platforms and with complex semiconductor equipment.

Process experience running applied material tools, applied material hardware, applied materials engineers and process equipment (Thermal tools, PVD)

Travel up-to 30%

Soft Skills

The candidate will need to build strong relationships with the factory teams, technical experts, supply chain teams and components research and will also need to be proficient with calculations of cost of ownership so they can make recommendations on the ideals parts to use.

Preferred

Knowledge and/or experience in Supply Chain and Commodity management.

PhD. Preferred.
