Intel Photonic Component Architect-System Simulation in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

Perform system level simulations with high speed silicon photonic components. Identify system level trade offs and performance optimization opportunities that can lead to lower product power, cost, or improved yield. Work with component design team to implement system level recommendations into device designs. Define component level engineering requirements document for SiPh products. Work across the BU to align various functional teams to the engineering response document.


Minimum Qualifications:

MS with 6+ years of experience modeling Si and III-V photonic devices in high speed communication systems.

Experience co-simulating high speed electronics with optical components

Experience modeling both coherent and direct detect higher order modulation format systems.

Experience with optical/electrical simulation platforms ADS, Simulink, Matlab, Lumerical, VPI, etc

Exposure to optical packaging concepts 2D, 2.5D, 3D and optical test.

Preferred Qualifications:

Have strong communication skills and be able to work independently

Experience designing high speed optical components is a plus
