Intel Senior Assembly Integration Engineer in Santa Clara, California
Intel's Silicon Photonic Product Division SPPD is looking for an experienced Assembly Process Integration Engineer to own health of all products coming out of OSATs (Out Sourced Assembly and Test). Primary Responsibilities include own and deliver NPI and Production ramp die to meet SPPD cost, quality and yield targets with specific focus on OSATs.
Assumes responsibility for products after transfer into high volume production post PRQ Work with OSATs to resolve Quality/Yield issues, drive continuous improvement roadmaps for Yield, Quality and Cost projects. Act as divisional POC for OSATs. Debug assembly process/ test/ product interactions to find solutions. Drive improvements requiring process tweaks to improve yields and quality. Keep close pulse of health of OSATs by partnering in various forums. Work with Fab Ops team for transferring process/products from development to manufacturing, NPIs and for managing excursions. Debug and resolve complex excursions and yield limiters by providing assembly process expertise.
The successful candidate must have MS with 6+ years of experience or PhD with 4+ years of experience in engineering working in the areas of IC packaging and assembly.
Prior experience in the areas of assembly manufacturing process and new product introduction is required. Must have experience working on TD and/or HVM semi-conductor assembly process.
Knowledge and understanding of advanced packaging technologies and assembly processes. Hands-on expertise of assembly processes for flipchip, wirebond, underfill and other semiconductor packing processes.
Demonstrated experience to work with cross functional teams and external partners to driving solutions to improve yield, quality and cost. Experience in driving process window characterization to minimize/ prevent excursions.
Demonstrated capability debugging/resolving complex issues related to product/process/test interactions.
Experience working with OSAT partners.
Hands expertise using statistical tools and software such as JMP, SQL…
Experience with silicon photonic fabrication and optical device knowledge is a plus.
