Intel Senior Power Management Architect in Santa Clara, California
Intel’s new AI Product Group is looking for architects to drive the next generation of AI hardware. We're looking for engineers with a strong background in Power management architecture, micro-architecture, and power modeling.
Define System on Chip (SoC) power management (architectural and micro-architectural) details for maximum performance under power and thermal constraints.
Work across organizations to define system architecture and innovative power management techniques
Identify power optimization techniques applicable at different design levels.
Produce detailed documents for the proposed implementation of power management at the Card/SoC/block level; produce detailed trade-off analysis for engineering reviews and product roadmap decisions.
Guide multi-function teams through the design cycle in achieving the card and SoC power targets. This includes, but is not limited to platform, software, firmware, algorithm, hardware, power modeling, power estimation, etc.
Analyze power modeling results and use these to drive design teams towards best approaches for reducing power.
M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering plus 6 years of relevant work experience OR B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering plus 8 years of relevant work experience.
Total of 10+ years of work or educational experience in the following areas:
Computer architecture, Power & Thermal Management, Power Delivery, Power modeling
C, C++, PERL, Python
Research publications, patent filings, or other evidence of personal technical innovation in advanced power & thermal management (highly preferred).
