Intel Senior Validation Engineer in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Authors detailed software quality requirements to meet Intel quality standards

  • Works with product development teams throughout the product development life cycle to ensure software quality requirements and goals are established and met

  • Trains the team on quality engineering practices.

  • Drives effective software practices to ensure project work products comply with applicable standards, requirements

  • Provides input into program deliverables /milestones regarding quality resources, schedule, goals, etc.

  • Design and develop automation test script for the front-end applications, backend services/tools, service contracts, SDKs and RESTful APIs

  • Helps to support a team of junior SQA Engineers to mentor and guide them in the quality assurance work performed across multiple teams and projects

  • Work closely with upper management to provide a status report and health of products from a quality standpoint

  • Create test plans, test scripts and working closely with the developers to understand the features and implementation

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years’ of full-stack Software Testing experience

  • 5+ years’ of experience with testing automation for mobile platforms

  • 2+ years’ iOS and/or Android experience

  • 2+ years’ experience with performance metrics and tools for testing applications deployed on mobile platforms

  • 4+ years’ experience with C/C++ language and scripting such as Python

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Multiple operating systems like Linux/Unix

  • Knowledge of Relational databases and Unstructured database

  • Knowledge of Virtual Reality technologies is added plus

  • Understanding of testing methodologies, tools and automation frameworks

  • Understanding of Software Integration and release methodologies

  • Testing experience in cloud-based compute service, preferably AWS

  • Experience of modern web development toolkits and libraries

  • Experience of developing with RESTful JSON APIs and XML experience

  • Experience implementing CI/CD using Jenkins

  • Excellent written communication skills in English

  • Experience with Unity and the Test Runner framework is a plus
