Intel Silicon Photonic Device Integration Lead in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

Intel's Silicon Photonics Product Division is seeking an experienced Device Integration Lead to own and drive development of our next generation optical transceiver products. As part of the photonics component development team, you will be leading cross-functional SiPh transceiver development team through all the phases of product development cycle from concept to large volume manufacturing.

You will be responsible for:

  • defining the overall integrated transceiver development plan

  • identifying development risks and risk mitigation strategies

  • owning overall test chip execution and coordination including chip design, layout and tape-out, test and validation, performance debug, reliability qualification, and known-good-die delivery

  • defining and driving improvement initiatives to meet product cost and yield targets

  • serving as the primary decision maker and representative for device development/integration on the product development team

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a MS or PhD degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Science or related fields

MS with 6+ years of industry experience or PhD with 2+ years of experience in the design, layout and tape-out, test, and qualification of silicon photonic devices

Experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams in development of innovative optoelectronic components

Ability to plan and drive complex, multi-disciplinary projects to success

Relentless focus on quality as well as on-schedule execution

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Proven track record of bringing product from prototype to design-wins

Experience in optical communication, fiber optics, and optical transceiver technologies for datacenter and/or commercial applications
