Intel Silicon Photonic Device Test Engineer in Santa Clara, California
Job DescriptionIntel's Silicon Photonics Product Division (SPPD) is seeking an experienced test engineer to characterize and validate performance of silicon-based active and passive photonic devices for integrated photonics product. You will be part of the photonics component development team and own device testing at the die-level, wafer-level, and subsystem level. Responsibilities include:
Work with cross-functional team, define EVT/DVT test plan
Develop and qualify test infrastructure and automated test SW
Execute/drive engineering DOE, EVT and DVT, and debug
Analyze test data, generate EVT/DVT report, hold review with related stakeholders, and make recommendations
Must have a MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar discipline
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in optical and electrical testing of photonic devices such as semiconductor laser diode, photodetector, fiber-to-waveguide optical alignment, and polarization at die-level or wafer-level
Good understanding of semiconductor device physics
Excellent automated test programming skills with Matlab, Visual Basic, C, Labview, etc., and statistical analysis SW such as JMP.
Have good time management skills and is self-motivated, and have strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Resourceful and have strong problem solving skills
Able to work independently as well as effectively with a team
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred additional qualifications
Experience with customer interaction and support
Hands-on experience with evaluation board design for photonic device testing, test station design and bring up.
