Intel SoC Design Engineer in Santa Clara, California
Develops and supports digital circuit design for cell libraries. Performs custom digital circuit design and simulation. Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates digital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for use in digital electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Performs digital circuit design, verification and layout, data path design and digital block synthesis.
A successful candidate will have a BS or an MS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience which includes:
RTL Design experience interpreting specifications, writing Micro Architecture Specifications and implementing the design using HDL such as System Verilog or VHDL.
Understanding how a synthesis tool will implement the RTL code is also important and being well versed in good design practices in general as well as knowing measures to take to increase performance or reduce area.
As important as technical skills are soft skills such as good communications skills; being a team player and working well across organizational boundaries.
