Job Description

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or Hardware Engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software.

  • Determine computer user needs and advise hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

  • Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field of study

  • 3-5 years experience.

  • Excellent C and C++ development skills.

  • Experience using Visual Studio

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Good knowledge of modern PC hardware.

  • Experience using Subversion and/or V-Tune.

  • Prior experience with multiple tablet operating systems iOS, Android, etc

  • Experience with Linux, OS X operating systems.

  • Prior xxperience programming Java or Objective C mobile applications.

  • Knowledge of computer architecture.

  • An Understanding of business and consumer usage models and trends.

  • An understanding of computer performance benchmarks.
