Come join the Communications & Devices Group at Intel Mobile Communications! We're looking for a talented Software Project Manager to deliver outstanding solutions. This is a high-visibility role within the Modem Platform Software / Core Team - close to customer design, production, integration & validation teams - responsible for the Intel modem software integration, delivery and quality. Your project management, customer communication and collaborative skills will help Intel's Modem Solutions improve software processes & deliverable quality, while achieving internal & external project milestones. *

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

-Acts as a strong program voice.

-Develop processes and methodologies to ensure success of a complex project, including but not limited to product and release planning, identification of milestones & project goals, creation of schedules, and tracking of all items to ensure successful project delivery.

-Drive creation and execution of program Plan of Record, including Scope, Requirements Management, Success Criteria, Schedule, Resources, and Quality.

-Responsible for stakeholder management, including coordination of departmental or cross-functional/cross-organizational teams Modem Platform, Test, Systems, Development as well as communication within the organization mid & senior management, outward to external customers engineering & senior management.

-Work closely with our Tier1 customers to translate project requirements into clear tasks for driving internal development teams-Drive and optimize current Software Development Life Cycle SDLC - through strong understanding of the software integration & delivery process

-Coordinate with Production verification teams - define scope & test criteria towards strong SW Quality

-Track overall Production Features and defect trends - while understanding their cycles-Mitigate project risks and escalate any potential blockers or show stoppers to senior management-Strategize & own Software branching process, define decision checkpoints for teams

-Execute of Production stages like Proto / EVT / DVT / PVT to ensure Yield targets are met

-Some international Travel may be required to Global development sites + Contract Manufacturers

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science / Software / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar field

  • 6+ years of experience in or driving Software development / Validation in a product company-Sharp Project Planning, Project Management, Decision making and Cross-functional driving skills

  • Ability to drive worldwide teams to delivery, ability to lead high level discussions

  • Experience across most of the Software Development Life Cycle SDLC - Planning, Development, Integration, Validation, Release-Create resourceful tracking Spreadsheets / Presentations / Project management tools - including Macros / Automation-Broad outlook to visualize customer & internal R&D situations, and ideate win-win solutions

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Masters in Computer Science / Software / Electrical / Electronic Engineering, MBA

  • PMP / ScrumMaster / Six Sigma

  • Understanding of basic RF wireless technologies - GSM, WCDMA/UMTS, TDSCDMA, CDMA, LTE, GNSS, etc

  • Proven track record of increasing project efficiency by ideating new processes-Hands-on Software Testing / Development experience
