Job Description

Intel is leading the way with integration Silicon Photonics optical interfaces, targeting the fast-growing market for hyperscale datacenter networks.

The PM manages and drives the execution of the integration pillar of the program, from kick-off to launch, working with partners inside Intel and outside.

This position also serves as the focal point and roll-up of individual swim lanes to manage and provide end-to-end visibility of schedules, deliverables and milestones, risks, and resources for the entire program.

The position will operate in close partnership with the Integration program Technical Lead, and the project manager and technical leads for the component development projects.

As a significant part of the responsibilities, the PM will also coordinate activities with partner organizations both inside and outside of Intel.

Specific responsibilities include:

Drives bottom-up planning processes with cross-functional teams

Owns and maintains program resource requirements view, aligning with functional leaders to secure resources and identify gaps in skills or resources for the project

Manage and drive execution of integration project to meet schedule / quality / cost expectations:

Manages overall schedule and deliverables, interdependencies and integration of ingredient development

Execute program deliverables predictably and ensure the technologies that provide customer value are brought to market proactively anticipate and raise any issues, decisions, risks that may impact successful program launch

Identifies and tracks schedule/cost/resource program execution risks and opportunities, and drives appropriate solutions and risk mitigation strategies.

Works with technical lead to mitigate technical risks

Drives assessment of custom product variations in terms of resources, schedule, and cost impact, and develops recommendations and trade-offs to PLM and Division management for decision

Owns and publishes program dashboard and regular report-out to Division Management and staff


Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a broad technical background enabling effective communication across disciplines and understanding of design processes, manufacturing, validation, qualification for advanced package development

BS with 6+ years of experience or MS with 4+ years of relevant product development and program management experience

Familiar with core Project Management methods and tools

Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence senior managers and technical leaders

The ability to collaborate and effectively drive execution across geographical and business unit boundaries is a requirement.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proven ability to develop and drive complex execution plans, and a passion for this challenge.

They must be capable of integrating large sets of constraints/requirements and putting in place processes and structure to enable effective decision making.

Data-driven and analytical approach to problem solving, and ability to synthesize problem statements and evaluate solution options

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with networking hardware, or multi-chip packaging technologies is an advantage, although not required
