Come join the team enabling Microsoft's Azure Stack on cutting-edge Intel Data Center solutions. Intel's Platform Validation team in the Datacenter Engineering Group is looking for an engineer with the passion, technical experience, and organizational communication skills to integrate Intel hardware with Microsoft's Azure Stack hybrid cloud platform. As part of Intel's Data Center team, you will gain deep expertise in the hardware, software and services that are part of the hybrid cloud platform. In this position you will be working as an Intel employee at Microsoft's Redmond campus in Washington State.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Installing and configuring Windows Azure Stack on Intel commercial server solutions and network components.
Reproducing, characterizing and debugging technical issues on Intel commercial server products with a focus on Azure Stack enablement and debug, working with teams at Intel and Microsoft.
Execute validation tests.

The Data Center Group (DCG) drives new products technologies from high-end co-processors for supercomputers to low-energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The group is a worldwide organization that develops the products and technologies that power nine of every 10 servers sold worldwide.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related plus 4 years of industry work experience, Master's degree in Computer Science or related plus 3 years of industry work experience, or PhD in Computer Science or related plus industry work experience.
4 plus years of hands-on experience with data center hardware compute, storage, and networking and related technologies BMC, RDMA, IPMI, Redfish, SSD, NVME, SDN.
3 plus years of programming or sysadmin experience with PowerShell.
1 plus year experience administering Windows Server 2012+ and Linux environments.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
3 plus years of experience and knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, routing protocols BGP, OSPF, IP addressing IPv4, IPv6, security ACL, IPS, IDS, and network infrastructure AD, DNS, DHCP.
3 plus years of hands-on experience configuring network devices from Cisco, Arista and Dell.
3 plus years of experience in driving technical investigations, prototyping, developing, testing, shipping and running enterprise-class products around services, IaaS, cloud computing.
